If Klei announced a Shank 3 consisting of nothing more than that survival mode, I would buy it sight unseen, it's just that good. But Shank 2 completely blows the first one out of the water, it improves upon it in every single possible way: Better story, better animation, more characters, more weapons and more interesting modes outside of the main game, including a co-op survival mode with enemy waves that I have played for a ridiculous amount of hours with many of my friends. I've enjoyed the first Shank for what it was, basic revenge story and nice animation, I've got my money's worth. While you can upgrade your character and unlock new moves, you'll also have many weapons and items to utilize in combat. As you progress through the game, new enemies will show up in older areas and at higher levels to ensure you're always kept on your toes. The game has many sidequests that players can tackle, as well as the option to go back to previous areas to tie up loose ends and complete unfinished quests. After the boss of each region is defeated, you'll move onto the next. In RCG, there are six regions to explore throughout the game.
